Terms of use
These terms are the agreement between you and Beraline when you use beraline.com. They’re short on purpose.
The service
Beraline is a free personal journal and habit tracker run by Thomas Nicklin in the United Kingdom. We may add, change or remove features. If we ever plan to close Beraline, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice so you can export your data.
Your account
- You must be 16 or over.
- Keep your password safe. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
- One person per account.
Your content
Everything you write in Beraline stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service to you, as set out in the Privacy policy.
Fair use
Please don’t:
- try to access other people’s data or get round our security;
- use automated tools to overload or scrape the service;
- choose or misuse a leaderboard handle to harass anyone.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
Not medical advice
Beraline helps you notice patterns. It isn’t a medical device and doesn’t give medical advice. If you’re struggling, please talk to your GP, call NHS 111, or call Samaritans free on 116 123, day or night.
Liability
We work hard to keep Beraline available and your data safe, with daily backups, but we provide it “as is” and can’t guarantee it will always be uninterrupted. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, including for negligence that causes death or personal injury.
Ending
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. This removes your data as described in the Privacy policy.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions: privacy@beraline.com.
